Six moments from the piece. They are not frames pulled from the video. Each one is drawn from the pieces' polygons at the size you pick, so a 5K screen gets 5K worth of edges. Gradients are dithered so they don't band.
Cut your own
Drag a line across the square. The cut works as it does in the piece. The two sides slide apart along the line, and the smaller side flies further. The note comes from the length of the cut, on A minor pentatonic: long cuts sound low, short ones high.
Let it live on your desktop
The same score, stretched from eight seconds to an hour. A blade falls every 3¾ minutes, faster towards the end of the hour, and the pieces keep drifting very slowly in between. On the hour they all fly home. Even hours are positive, odd hours negative, and every hour is cut differently.

It's silent and has no interface. Between cuts it redraws once a second, and only runs at full frame rate around a cut or the landing.
