01Introduction

This policy applies to the software published by heugt.net, including browser extensions (for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or other browsers) and any other applications or tools we release. It describes the data practices common to our software.

02Data collection

Our software does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, browsing history, or the content of the pages or files you use it with. We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising of any kind, and our software does not communicate with any external server unless explicitly stated on that product's own page.

03Data stored locally

Some of our software saves small pieces of settings (such as your last-used options or preferences) using the local storage mechanism provided by the platform it runs on — for example, a browser's extension storage API. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us or any third party.

04Permissions we request, and why

Browser extensions from us request only the minimum permissions needed for their stated purpose, which may include:

  • Playing audio in the background (e.g. an "offscreen" or equivalent permission), when the software needs to generate or play sound.
  • Storing settings locally (a "storage" permission), to remember your preferences between sessions.
  • Adding a single item to a right-click menu (a "context menu" permission), such as a shortcut to our website. No data is read or collected through this menu.

Unused or unrelated permissions are never requested.

05Exceptions

If any of our software needs to handle data differently from what is described here — for example, using analytics or sending data to a server — that will be clearly disclosed on that specific product's own listing page, and this policy will be updated accordingly.
